Michael Chase, MS, NTP

Co-owner, Staff Dietician/Nutritionist

Michael is the third generation of his family to own and operate a natural foods grocery business. In 1956 Michael’s grandfather, Pat “Francis” Chase opened Chase’s Health Foods in Boise, Idaho. At the time it was the first health food store in the State of Idaho. Over the next three decades Chase’s Health Foods, under the leadership of Douglas and Kenon Chase, would grow to three locations in Boise, one location in Pocatello, Idaho, and the Oregon Natural Market in Ontario, Oregon.

Michael was born and raised in Boise, Idaho and graduated from Boise High School. He completed undergraduate studies at Willamette University and received a BS in Clinical Psychology. Michael completed graduate studies at the Nutrition Institute of the University of Bridgeport where he earned a MS in Human Nutrition. Micheal completed post-graduate work at the Nutritional Therapy Association where he received the Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (NTP) credential. Currently, Michael is pursuing board certification in clinical nutrition. 

Michael enjoys spending time with his family and staying physically active with strength training, golfing, road cycling, and mountain biking. Michael is also an avid woodworker.
