NUTRITION CONSULTATION PACKAGE $75.00

The Nutrition Consultation Package consists of two appointments:

  • Initial interview (90 min)
  • Personalized therapeutic nutrition protocol (90 min)

This package is most appropriate for:

  • Individuals who are confused about nutritional supplementation and have questions about dietary supplement brands, dosing, proper usage, and interactions/contraindications.
  • Individuals who want to pursue dietary modification and are confused about which diet would be appropriate for specific needs including weight loss, autoimmune conditions, hypersensitivities, degenerative conditions, and general well-being.
  • General nutrition-related questions.
  • Patients working with a healthcare practitioner that need guidance with a prescribed supplement protocol.

The science of nutrition can be very confusing.  It seems that every “expert” has a different opinion about what you should eat, what dietary supplements you should use and what to avoid, how you should support your health during times of illness, and lifestyle modifications that promote vitality and longevity.  With over 30 years of experience in the health and nutrition industry, Michael can help you navigate the confusing and sometimes contradictory world of popular diets and food choices, supplement formulations and usage, and options for living a healthy lifestyle. Michael can provide guidance on the role of nutritional therapeutics in health and disease, and education and instruction on the use of dietary supplements with an emphasis on drug interactions and depletions, nutrient interactions, side effects, and contraindications.

Before making your first appointment, you will receive an email from Practice Better, an online nutrition practice management platform, instructing you to create a client profile. • Patients who have been diagnosed with metabolic syndrome, pre-diabetes, and type II diabetes that want to use nutritional therapy to improve blood sugar control, insulin activity, and weight management.

IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ:

It is important to understand that losing excess stored body fat can be a difficult and complex process that requires dedication, patience, and compliance. Since weight gain is a time-dependent process that is directly associated with metabolic and hormonal dysfunctions, it follows that any effort to lose stored body fat will also be time-dependent and require a complete and permanent change in your dietary lifestyle-what you eat, how you think about food, and what you supplement your diet with.  There are no effective weight loss pills, powders, shakes, or quick-fix calorie-restrictive diets that can be used individually to lose excess body fat and keep it off permanently. Some people may experience short-term weight loss with these products, but 98% will regain the weight they lost in a few months.  Fad diets, stimulants, and calorie control programs are mostly marketing hype and will lead to weight loss failure and disappointment.  With that said, there are some evidence-based nutritional supplements that can assist the body in losing fat when properly combined with dietary modification and intermittent fasting. Michael’s approach to weight loss addresses six key areas that directly influence metabolic function and weight management-endocrine system function, digestive system function, mitochondrial function, energy balance (metabolic flexibility), blood glucose regulation, and insulin signaling.
